Coffins and urns.
We provide a variety of
coffins made from natural materials. These can be bamboo, wicker,
cardboard and papier mache. The wood for our traditional coffins
comes from managed forests.
|
Made of
bamboo, this coffin lends itself very well to be decorated with
flowers and winding plants like ivy, honeysuckle and jasmine.
It is light and the handles can be used for carrying.
|
Made in the north
of England of willow, this coffin is golden brown in colour.
It has handles for carrying and looks beautiful either plain or
decorated with vibrant flowers such as anemonies and roses.
|
Another
woven coffin, this time made in Somerset from local willow.
This coffin can be made with or without handles and/or a green
willow band.
|
There are different
shapes and colours to choose from if a cardboard coffin is what you
would like. The rope handles on the green coffin are available
on all the others but are for decoration only.
|
The
plain coffin can be decorated - either by family and friends or by
an artist who works with Green Endings Funerals.
|
|

Cardboard coffins
can be covered with fabric or a quilt of your choice.
|
This
re-usable coffin is available for cremation. It consists
of a wooden outer coffin - which is all the audience see - plus an
inner cardboard box. Only the cardboard inner is cremated.
|
This is how the
system works - the end of the coffin opens up to receive the
cardboard box.
|
This is
the most eco-friendly coffin on the market. Made from
recycled newspapers, everything about its manufacture and
distribution has been thought about with the environment in mind.
|
A very ‘honest’
wooden box, this coffin has simple rope handles and no varnish or
veneer. It has been very well made.
|
We have
a wide range of traditional coffins which can be fitted with or
without decorative handles. All of these coffins are made from wood
which has been sourced from Forestry Stewardship Council-approved
forests.
|

We have a range of
urns for ashes, including bamboo, reed, wood, glass and ceramic.
If a family has a container such as a vase, basket or box - we will
arrange to have the ashes placed in this.
